Gürhan Kök has founded Invent Analytics in 2013 to build advanced-analytics products for the retail industry. One of the leading researchers of his generation working in retail operations, Gürhan’s academic work has pioneered research in the fields of assortment planning and supply chain management. Gürhan has been collaborating with global retailers for development of new technologies for over fifteen years.
Gürhan currently serves as a Professor of Operations Management and Information Systems at Koç University and the Academic Director of Koç University-Migros Retail Research Center in Istanbul. Prior to joining Koç in 2014, Gürhan was a tenured faculty member at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. He received his Ph.D. from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania in 2003.
Director of Client Services
Dave has more than 15 years of experience developing and delivering software solutions for retailers. Prior to joining Invent, he was the Director of Inventory Systems and Analytics at Party City Corporation. Before joining Party City, he helped to build three successful technology startups, acting in a variety of roles including VP of Software Development, VP of Client Services, and Chief Technology Officer. His deep experience as both a retailer and a technologist puts him in a unique position to ensure the success of our clients.
Dave holds a Masters degree from the University of Pennsylvania, and a B.S. degree from Rutgers University, both in Computer Science.
As the leader of Algorithm Development Team at Invent Analytics, Mustafa oversees Client Services, Algorithm Design and Development. His expertise is on complex mathematical algorithms and econometric models. He has extensive algorithm development and consulting experience in leading financial services, retail, research and consulting companies, both in the U.S. and in Turkey. Mustafa has an M.S. in Financial Engineering from Stevens Inst. of Technology, M.S. degree in Mathematics from Ohio State University and B.S. in Mathematics from Bilkent University.
Felipe Caro, Phd
Felipe Caro is Associate Professor of Decision, Operations, and Technology Management at the UCLA Anderson School of Management. In his PhD dissertation at MIT, he developed analytical models with demand learning for the dynamic assortment problem faced by fast-fashion retailers. This led to an ongoing collaboration with the Spanish apparel retailer Zara that made him a Franz Edelman Laureate in 2009. Some of his current research projects include carbon allocation in supply chains, coordination of pricing and inventory decisions, forecasting, and exploration versus exploitation problems.
